MESSAGE FROM SECRETARY

At VIDHAN, we take immense pride in our mission to uplift marginalized sections of society, including women, tribals, Dalits, and youth, enabling them to lead improved lives and contribute to sustainable development. Established in 2014, Vidhan made significant strides in the social and economic upliftment of rural families in the climate-affected Vindhyanchal region of Uttar Pradesh. Our organization has expanded its reach by providing sustainable livelihood solutions to small and marginal farmers, women, and youth through the demonstration of sustainable practices, promotion of climate-resilient methods, and the collectivization of farmers into Farmers Producer Organizations. Furthermore, we focus on skilling of women and youth, enhancing their entrepreneurial capacities, and generating awareness on health, hygiene among tribal communities through village level health camps and expert interactions. Overall, the interventions have transformed the socio-economic landscape of the community, instilling confidence, and inspiring individuals to lead better lives.

About Vidhan

Get to know about Vidhan

VIDHAN is a not-for-profit organization established in 2014 and registered under the Society Registration Act of 1860. We are currently operational in the Vindhyanchal region of Uttar Pradesh, committed to enhancing the socio-economic conditions of indigenous communities through the conservation and protection of natural resources, demonstration of sustainable agricultural practices, promotion of sustainable livelihood models, and the formation of community-based institutions. A significant area of our efforts is enhancing the adaptive capacity of farming communities through capacity building and the promotion of climate-resilient practices. Targeting small and marginal farmers, women, and youth, organizational interventions align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including poverty eradication, zero hunger, and gender mainstreaming. To date, VIDHAN has positively impacted over 10,000 individuals, significantly improving their well-being.
